Our People
Training
In order to deliver the best and most consistent service to our Customers, all staff undertake an extensive training programme.
Running in conjunction with the British Institute of Cleanign Science (BICSc) we ensure correct cleaning techniques are operated.
All staff on commencement of employment carry out Induction training, which covers everything from chemical usage, to equipment competency and cleaning techniques.
Our people are able to extend their skills through National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) and into management through Institue of Leadership Management (ILM) training.
NVQ Training
- NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading
- NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services
- NVQ Level 2 in Caretaking
ILM Training
- Supervisory Studies
All employees undergo refresher Health & Safety training at least every 12-18 months
Apprenticeships
Monthind has recently introduced an Apprentice scheme, this scheme initially will be used to develop and train staff within our back office functions, an ethos which has been established for many years, however not under the Apprenticeship banner.
It is anticipated that during 2012 we will seek to develop other schemes elsewhere in the business to continue our training and development programmes.
Recognition
We believe that all our staff should be recognised for outstanding work, long service, 'going the extra mile and introducing new members of staff.
To make this recognition as beneficial as possible for our staff, in 2002 we introduced a scheme to reward all our operational staff. After a qualifiying period, each of our employees recieves a smart card onto which we can load points for a national store to be used towards purchases.
Diversity and equal opportunities
Monthind is committed to Diversity and Equal Opportunities for all, irrespective of race, religious belief, colour, ethnic or national origins, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, disability and age.
