Successful Ipswich chartered surveyors and property management firm EWS needed a cleaning company with the experience, scope and ability to clean properties newly under its management.
But EWS needed a number of additional services, too – services that the average cleaning firm is simply unable to provide. Along with professional cleaning operatives, Monthind also trained staff for concierge, caretaking, SIA-qualified security and painting and decorating roles.
A Flourishing Relationship – 10 Years in the Making
Monthind’s relationship with EWS has flourished to the point where more than 20 EWS sites are now cleaned and/or managed by Monthind. Over the last decade Monthind have worked with EWS to provide clients and tenants with the exceptional level of service to which they are accustomed – and a degree of flexibility that few rivals can match.
Meeting Our Clients’ Objectives, No Matter What They Are…
Paul Musson joined EWSChartered Surveyors in 2000 to create a portfolio of business in the Property Management arm of the company and enhance and develop its I.T. systems.
In 2002 with operations on a good footing, Paul was able to move the business forward by developing a property management structure to deliver exceptional management services to an expanding residential block portfolio. It quickly became apparent that when acquiring a new building with no included services,Paul needed to engage a professional cleaning company to maintaincommunal areas.
Monthind were approached and given the opportunity to start cleaning a prestigious block of serviced apartments in central Ipswich. From this initial contract, Monthind have worked with EWS to deliver not only cleaning but other key services, including concierge, security, caretaking and painting and decorating. Ad hoc services such as carpet cleaning, deep cleans and even car park sweeping and litter picking – are also provided by Monthind.
Developing an Effective Working Relationship
This is testament to the flexibility of the team at Monthind and also the key requirements of reliability and professionalism. Under the management of John Nugent, Julie Abbot – Monthind’s Contract Manager – has formed a great working relationship with Paul Musson – bringing a ‘can do’ approach to new and sometimes unusual work requests from EWS.
Going the Extra Mile for Our Clients
Waterside Marina in Brightlingsea has proved to be one of the more unusual sites Monthind have on their books. The communal areas of these luxurious apartments are looked after by a cleaning operative managed by Danny Cook – Site Manager for Monthind –who also manages the marina itself. This additional role required training to obtain a VHF operation licence – for the two-way radioused to guide traffic in and out of the marina.
Brightlingsea Marina won a ‘Silver Gilt Award’ in the Brightlingsea in Bloom competition – which was again down to Danny going the extra mile to ensure the area around the marina wasexceptionally well maintained.
Integrating with Contractors to Achieve the Highest Standards
Monthind also work with EWS to maintain communal areas at premises on the Ipswich Waterfront. To date Monthind have over 20 sites and 30 operatives working with EWS, delivering fully-trained, risk assessed personnel at any time, day or night. Staff members work closely with other contracted services and clients to maintain the high standards Paul and EWS expect from Monthind.
