The current outbreak, COVID-19, is a novel coronavirus which can affect the lungs and airways. Symptoms including a cough, high temperature and a shortness of breath (anyone experiencing symptoms should follow NHS advice).
At Monthind we will only clean infected areas that have been vacant for over 72 hours. Monthind are working in partnership with Hygiene Pro Clean, a containment and decontamination business who deal with biological threats. They have developed their own spray technology which allows them to get full volume coverage of any void/space with potential threat in it.
However, if the work needs to be completed in a tight timescale then again, after the 72 hour period our operatives can attend site. Please note that this is only on the basis that the risk assessment has been put together with all the necessary information obtained.
If a risk assessment of the setting indicates that a higher level of the virus may be present then PPE to protect the cleaner’s eyes, mouth and nose might be necessary. The local Public Health England (PHE) and Health Protection Team (HPT) can advise on this.
