We are proud to say that Monthind joins almost 500 businesses on the Essex Wildlife Trust Corporate Members Scheme, to support the charity’s protection and conservation efforts across the county.
Established in 1991, the scheme encourages businesses, organisations and individuals to work together to help Essex’s people and wildlife. The charity also offers a tiered Investors in Wildlife scheme to enable companies of any size and sector to join.
Why Monthind is proud to be an ‘Investor in Wildlife’
Essex is blessed to be a particularly beautiful part of the world. For example, within the few miles surrounding our Colchester office we are lucky to find a number of the Trust’s Nature Reserves, including; Roman River Valley Nature Reserve, Lexden Gathering Grounds, Westhouse Wood and Iron Latch Nature Reserve. We are so lucky to enjoy nature on our doorsteps, and it is vital that those of us who are passionate about the Essex countryside work together to ensure the protection and conservation work necessary is carried out to ensure it remains that way for future generations to enjoy.
Monthind Partner Simon Biggs says: “We are extremely proud to align our business with the Essex Wildlife Trust, a vital charity which does so much to maintain, protect and rebuild the beautiful county in which we live.
“Alongside our employees, we hope that our commitment to conservation will motivate our stakeholders, partners, suppliers and even our customers to think about their efforts to maintain our beautiful local environment and ask, ‘Can I do more?’ And maybe even become an Investor in Wildlife too!”
Talking further about Monthind’s commitment to conservation, Simon Biggs points towards the firm’s efforts on a day-to-day basis, as part of their stated environmental policy, “Monthind is committed to protecting the environment for today and for the future, via our process of continuous improvement. Monthind identifies the environmental aspects of its activities over which it can be expected to have an influence, and which have a significant impact on the environment. We also strive to achieve recycling where possible, minimise waste and work closely with our customers to develop environmentally caring practices.”
Karen Dixon, Corporate Coordinator at the Essex Wildlife Trust commented, “Without the support from our business partners and working together, we would not be able to achieve our conservation goals and aspirations. We all have a part to play, so everyone can benefit for the future.”
Monthind Clean serves a variety of clients across Essex and throughout East Anglia, including Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. To find out more about call 01206 215300 or click here to visit our website.
About Essex Wildlife Trust
Essex Wildlife Trust is the largest conservation charity in the county and one of the biggest of the 47 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts. The Trust has been protecting Essex for wildlife and people since 1959 and is working hard to restore, recreate and rebuild Living Landscapes, which will enable species and people to move through a wildlife-rich countryside. Why join The Wildlife Trusts? According to Chris Packham, Broadcaster and Naturalist and a Vice President of The Wildlife Trusts.
“There are plenty of great reasons, but I’ll give you three. They are vocal, they are visible, and they are value for money. The Wildlife Trusts are all about getting involved at a local level. Essex Wildlife Trust works within your community and is looking after wildlife in your backyard. That means you benefit from it, so show your support at a local level. You’ll be supporting the future, both of wildlife and of everyone in Essex – and in the whole of the UK, too.”
